When you are planning your Kitchen Renovation remember, Kitchens Design is based on the Idea that you need and area for your appliances, food preparation, cooking, washing up and storage.
The four basic layouts are:
- L Shape Layout Design is normally used in a Kitchen where there is a narrow room, space is limited and the corner of the room is utilised. L Shape Kitchen Design allows for storage above and below your work bench with easy reach to your working areas
- Island Layout Kitchen Design is normally used and works best where there is a large room. The Island can be used for food preparation or cooking and must be positioned so your working areas are within easy reach from each other. Just remember that electrical, gas and water services may need to be considered with your Island Layout Design.
- U Shape Kitchen Design is great as all working areas are within reach and can be used for both small and large rooms. U Shape Kitchen Design allows for lots of storage and working space and is usually positioned at the end of the room.
- Single or Double Row Kitchen Design is where you have a Single row of Kitchen Cupboards and working bench on one side or Double Row with Kitchen Cupboards and working areas down each side. The Single Line Design is best suited for smaller areas, provides good storage area above and below the working bench, practical working areas and allows for more floor space. The Double Row Kitchen Design efficiently utilises the available space with cupboard space and working areas on both sides and enough room must be allowed between the two sides.
